“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
– Deuteronomy 31:6

Originating in Kerala in the early 1980s, Jesus Youth has blossomed into an international Catholic movement, spanning over 30 countries worldwide. Rooted in spirituality, Jesus Youth is built upon the six pillars of prayer, the Word of God, sacraments, fellowship, evangelization, and an unwavering commitment to the less fortunate.

Today, Jesus Youth boasts an array of ministries across the globe and undertakes special missions in countries like Haiti, Uganda, and even in regions where the Catholic faith faces challenges. While the movement’s primary focus centers on holiness and mission within the laity, it has also nurtured thousands of vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.

Officially recognized by the Catholic Bishops Council of India, Jesus Youth is currently working towards formal recognition by the Holy See under the guidance of the Pontifical Council for the Laity.

In the United States, Jesus Youth’s journey began in the early 2000s, forging close ties with local dioceses to rejuvenate Catholic faith among youth. Noteworthy initiatives include organizing the past five World Youth Day pilgrimages, offering youth from the diocese unique opportunities for participation. Additionally, 4Life, a pro-life ministry, collaborates closely with the diocese to promote and uphold the sanctity of life.
